There are so many people that make New Year resolutions to start the new year off. New Year = New You which is a great concept but there are a lot of resolutions made that don’t survive. The way I see it is that most resolutions are not real goals. There is no action plan or thought put into how you can meet these goals.
If you want to make real resolutions or goals then the best method would be to make SMART goals. This way you have goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and have a time frame to which the goals should be completed.

Below I have made a list of my real goals for 2019:
Personal Growth: Once every day I will spend at least 20 minutes either meditating, listening to spiritual guidance or self reflection. I will spend at least 30 minutes each day reading a book, planning, journaling or doing something that I personally enjoy.
Health Goals: I will loose 10 pounds by April 1st. I will choose one exercise activity every day to do 25 repetitions of (at least twice a day) while making healthier food choices throughout the day. I currently drink about 32 – 48 fluid ounces of water a day. I will increase my water intake each week until I have reached 125 fluid ounces. (This was calculated by using my current weight multiplied by 67%.)
Travel Goals: March – Upstate Vintage Market June/July – TBD October – Love Life Women’s Conference and Walker Stalker Convention Take my grandkids the Great Smokey Mountains Railroad Train Ride – TBD Other close by possible trips – Chattanooga, TN / Grandfather Mountain, NC / Chimney Rock, NC / Charleston, SC
Home Goals: Every day, setting the timer to 30 minutes, I will choose one small area of clutter to organize and clean. On the 15th each month I will choose one item to purchase, replace or fix that will beautify or organize my home.
Career Goals: I will only spend 30 minutes a day going through my emails. Using a timer, I will have 15 minutes for my personal emails and 15 minutes for my business emails. Start my Wedding Corner Facebook Page or Group for wedding questions and tips. Do one module a week for my wedding planning series so that I can make a course.
