Thanksgiving is almost here and if you live in the South it’s all about food, family and football. This year instead writing about all the things I’m thankful for, I wanted to give thanks to God for making all of this possible. I felt the best way to do that was to share his word.

The Bible has many scriptures that talk about being thankful, giving thanks and praising God but when I read the verses from Psalms, I knew that these were the ones I wanted to use. These verses not only give thanks to God but they talk about sharing the Word with others.

All verses are quoted from the KJV Bible.

Psalms 18:49 Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto they name.

Psalms 26.7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

Psalms 30:4 Sing unto the LORD, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Palms 35:18 I will give thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

Psalms 50:14 Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:

Psalms 79:13 So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.

Psalms 95:2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Psalms 105:1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

Psalms 107:1 O give thanks unto LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Psalms 140:13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

While you are gathered together with your family and friends this Thanksgiving, I hope you remember at least one of these verses because all of our blessings are a gift from God. I also want to thank you for being a part of my journey today and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
