social media like, share, tweet and comments how to get more social media followers and leads through networking and groups and follow threads

Who doesn’t want more followers, likes and shares?

I know I do and not every business, blog or website becomes a viral sensation overnight but we all strive to keep building our dreams. So how do you start building your social media traffic? Most people start with gaining support from your family and friends. Next you build and post to your social media links like Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook to gain more followers.

What if I’m still not where I want to be?

Well the next best thing you can do is start networking with others that are seeking the same thing you are: more social media traffic. That’s where these six social media tips can help you network and grow your business. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to gain traffic and most of these tips are completely free. All you have to do is participate and follow any rules that are applied so let’s get started!

Here are the six ways to gain more traffic:

  1. Join the 10K Traffic Challenge – This is a monthly challenge created and hosted by It’s a Lovely Life. Each month all types of online business owners join this 10 day challenge to boost their traffic. It’s totally free to join and simple to do. It helps you gain more traffic to your social media channels while you network with other like-minded business owners. I have to say that this is my favorite way to gain networking traffic and meet new people!
  2. Share with the Bloggers Traffic Community – This bloggers helping bloggers community is a great place to post your new content to through different traffic threads. Every day has a new thread to post to but you need to read the instructions and the rules because you have to participate by sharing, liking and commenting on other’s posts too. You can also take courses on the site. Visit https://members.bloggerstrafficcommunity.com/plans/43336 for more information.
  3. Find a Facebook Sharing Group – Joining a Facebook group can boost your traffic but it’s really important to join the right type of group. You want a group that is designed for traffic sharing like the private group Entertainment Bloggers United. You can find general sharing groups to join or specific niched groups but you still have reciprocate for others within the group. If you can’t find one you like, I suggest creating your own traffic sharing group!
  4. Join a Tailwind Tribe – If you have a Pinterest account then you definitely should have Tailwind. Once you have a Tailwind account then you need to join a Tailwind Tribe. You can add your pins to the tribe and other tribe members can share them on their Pinterest boards. It is a great way to gain traffic and network with other pinners. Tribes also keep it fair so that people can’t share their pins without sharing someone else’s.
  5. Create a Facebook Ads – Depending on your budget, you may want to run a Facebook ad to generate leads. I typically run a Facebook ad every couple of months and generally only spend about $10 – $20 dollars on an ad. The ads I use are specifically targeting people who share similar interests and are in certain locations that I choose. I may not gain 1,000 leads with that type of budget but I can say that I have always been successful in gaining leads from the ads. Just make sure the ad grabs your ideal customer’s attention and offers something they would want, need or like.
  6. Share on Twitter Follow Threads – Twitter follow threads are super easy to find and easy to do. It is a good way to gain traffic and network with other bloggers but the drawback to twitter threads is that people don’t always follow the rules or follow back. You can find both general and niche related blogging threads to follow, retweet and gain traffic. Below is an example of a twitter thread:

Bonus tip: Join the National Today Influencer Network. Not only can you share your content and network with others, you can find campaigns to join and support along with applying for brand opportunities.
