If you are not recycling your tree already, then you should consider it. Recycling a tree is a way not to waste the tree on just Christmas decorations. It’s a way to use the tree to the fullest potential and get the most out of it.

Some people chop it up for firewood but if you don’t have a wood fireplace, there are other ways that the tree can be recycled. Check with your local city, county or state offices for tree recycling options.

In South Carolina, there are several places that you can recycle your tree and get FREE mulch to boot. Who doesn’t like FREE stuff? Maybe you don’t need any mulch but maybe it can help someone else that does. There are also places that collect the trees to use for fish attractors in the local lakes and in some coastal areas the trees are used to start new sand dunes.
