Make your home a happy, comfortable space.
Experts agree that one of the best ways to curb the spread of the coronavirus is to stay home and avoid large gatherings, and it’s much easier to do that if your house is a happy, comfortable space. Making changes to your environment–such as organizing, decluttering, cleaning, and/or redecorating–can help you appreciate your surroundings more and boost your mood as you navigate the pandemic at home.
Find time to do what you love.
Whether you enjoy creative endeavors such as painting or you just want to focus on building your education or career, now is the time to do it. Many of us have a lot going on at the moment, but it’s important to find time for the things that make you truly happy. Think about your favorite hobbies and look for ways you can spend more time practicing them. As you search for tools and supplies, rather than shopping online, consider safely backing local businesses in your community.
Turn a hobby into a new business venture.
These days, it’s easier than ever to start your own business from home. Consider forming an LLC, or Limited Liability Company. An LLC has many advantages, including tax benefits and protection from any debts the business accrues. You may be able to save quite a bit of money in attorney fees by filing the paperwork yourself, but make sure you do some research, as states have different rules and regulations for forming an LLC.
Remember that staying in quarantine doesn’t necessarily mean being stuck inside. Get outdoors and go for a walk, go hiking with your family, or pack a picnic lunch for the park. Enjoying nature can be inspiring and soothing even during these uncertain times.
