Halloween may not look the same for your kids this year but it doesn’t mean you can’t have fun. All you need is some inspiration to have a great Halloween at home this year.
Decorate a Halloween Haunted House 👻.
Gingerbread houses aren’t just for the Christmas season now. Halloween is cashing in on the long time Christmas tradition by creating a haunted house gingerbread house.
If you would rather buy a kit, here are my suggestions:
Watch a Halloween movie outside 📽.
Get out the movie projector, popcorn and lawn chairs because watching a Halloween movie just moved to a new location. Being outside on Halloween sets a spooky mood even if your movie isn’t that scary.
Read a not so scary Halloween story 🦇.
Whether you build a campfire or use a firepit, it’s a great addition to have when you read a Halloween story. Bring out the smores to add to the fun.
Make some spooky treats to eat🍪.
Chow down on some spooky treats. From cookies to rice krispies treats, everyone will have fun decorating these edible goodies together.
Have a Halloween scavenger hunt 🔦.
Scavenger hunts are always fun but a Halloween scavenger hunt is even better. Leave a piece of candy with each clue. Once they get to the last clue, there should be a haunting surprise waiting for them.
Have a pumpkin decorating challenge 🎃.
You may have already put out some pumpkins for decorations but that shouldn’t stop you from having a Halloween pumpkin decorating challenge. Take a video to share with others!
Don’t forget to put on some spooky music while you have fun this Halloween! Here is my Halloween party playlist:
