Small Voice Says! is about a 7-year old little girl named Angela. Angela begins to feel bad when she didn’t tell the truth and when she hurt someone else’s feelings. At first she don’t understand what is it that is making her feel different but Angela’s mother explains that it is her small voice and why she has it. As Angela begins to gain trust in her small voice, she realizes that the small voice is helpful and gives her courage.
This is a great children’s book, with great illustrations that will help children understand the feelings between what is the right thing to do and what is the wrong thing to do.

After reading this book with my 7-year old granddaughter, I ask her “did you understand the meaning of the book?” Her answer was “it means that I need to listen to my little voice”. Then I asked her did she like the book and she gave it a 2 thumbs up. Who better to give an honest review of a children’s book than a child that has read it?
In the new children’s book, Small Voice Says [January 22 2019], authors Mike Morrison Ph.D. and Mackenzie Morrison offer an educational and heartfelt message about discovering and listening to your inner voice with colorful and intriguing illustrations throughout.
While most children will experience the tug of their conscience, too few will cultivate the inner reflection skills that are necessary to guide them through all stages of life. It is one of the most important skills that a parent can teach and also continue to co-learn with their child.
In Small Voice Says, we learn to catch ourselves from over-correcting our children and instead ask…what does your small voice say you should do?
Not a book you read to, but a book you read with. Small Voice Says will find a forever home on any bookshelf and explores:
- Education and empowerment of girls
- Cultivation of a strong inner voice to counter the cultural pressures to conform
- Discussion opportunities for parents to create a more nurturing relationship with their child
- Expression of individuality
- Expansion of learning capabilities
