The first book in the Babylon Twins series, author M.F. Gibson gives us a taste of how an Artificial Intelligence (AI) apocalypse could be.

Cloe and Elizabeth Yetti are antisocial, eighteen-year-old twins casually surviving the AI apocalypse. For the past 10 years, civilization has consisted of mindless addicts of a superdrug that machine intelligences control from their treatment centers in drone-dominated cities. Thanks to their super scientist/survivalist mom, the twins are surviving in the forests in Northern California, until a mysterious stranger and a demonic woodland creature appear to threaten their family. They’re drawn back to a disintegrating, drug addled San Francisco to face the threat head on, armed with only a knife, a hunting rifle, and their cryptophasic twin language – which makes them immune to being controlled through “normal” communication channels. The girls maintain their grimly determined humor as they shift from just surviving the apocalypse to kicking its butt!
M.F. Gibson puts a new twist to the “end of the world” apocalypse story. Brilliantly told from the perspective of the twins, you automatically feel like you are part of their story and part of their team. With every twist and turn you want to see them be triumphant this chaotic AI ran world. I totally loved the story and I look forward to reading the next book in this series. This is a great read for YA and sci-fi fans!
