I know the title is a little corny but it flowed so well that I couldn’t resist. It’s the new year so I am trying to start it out right by making my own homemade protein shakes. So far this is one at the top of my list. Not only does it fill me up and give me energy, I am hoping it will help me in my quest to loose a few more pounds this year.

The Great Protein Shake
1 – cup of milk (you can choose which kind of milk but I used whole milk)
1 – banana
1/2 – cup peanut butter
2 – Tbsp. of Manitoba flaxseed
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until it reaches shake consistency.
I wanted a little extra sweetness, I also added about 2 Tbsp. of pure honey.
