Easter 2020 will look different than the previous years because most people are confined to their homes due to the COVID-19 virus. This doesn’t mean that you can’t celebrate Easter, it just means you have to find more creative ways to do it.

You can still have fun celebrating Easter at home.
Below are 7 fun ways that you can celebrate Easter at home with your family:
1) Dye and/or decorate Easter eggs. This is one activity that kids love to do! There is something special about being able to pick out your own color(s) and how you want to decorate your own egg.
2) Watch an Easter Sunday service. Find out if your church is hosting an Easter service to watch whether it is on T.V., YouTube or on some other social media link. If not, you can search the internet and local T.V. guide for church’s that will be showing an Easter service.
3) Read the Easter story. Whether if it is straight from the Bible or a from a kid’s story book, it is important for everyone to understand the true meaning of Easter and why we celebrate it.
4) Take an Easter family photo. Just because you are celebrating Easter at home doesn’t mean you can’t create a family Easter photo. Create some Easter photo props and dress up for fun pictures to share with other family members and friends.
5) Do Easter crafting projects. Find Easter crafts to color, paint and create to fill your home with Easter. Display pictures in the windows or on the porch to show your Easter spirit for others passing by to see and be encouraged.
For Easter egg hunts, make sure you remember how many eggs you hide and where you hid them.
6) Have an Easter egg hunt. Indoors or outdoors, kids will enjoy doing an old-fashioned Easter egg hunt at home. If you decide to use plastic eggs, you can fill them with surprises like small toys or candy.
7) Sing songs of praise. From Jesus Loves Me to Amazing Grace, singing songs of praise will lift your spirit and warm your heart. This is also a great time to learn a new praise song together.

- Create an Easter tree or bush by hanging eggs on it.
- Find Easter themed recipes to make.
- Video chat with family and friends.
- Watch a movie about Easter.
- Host your own online Sunday school Easter service.
